Gustave Sherman founded the Sherman Costume Jewelry company in Montreal in 1947. By the 1950's he had established himself as Canada's foremost costume jeweler, his work appearing on runways in Paris and New York. Demanding the highest level of quality in workmanship and material his pieces were made using Swarovski crystals. His slogan was "made to last a lifetime" and our pieces are a testament to that.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
