This antique hand-carved hardstone cameo pendant/brooch features a rare high relief stone with exceptional detailed workmanship in the carving of a young woman. The Cameo is set in a 18k faint rose color gold frame and has a hook on the back so it can be worn as an enhancer on a necklace.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.

The piece is in spectacular condition with all moving parts working very well.
