Lovely vintage turquoise and 0.53ct ruby 18k yellow gold pendant. Pendant has a lovely ornate design en relief.

Turquoise: One (1) pear shaped, cabochon cut, bezel set turquoise measuring approximately 9.4 mm x 6.6 mm (closed back). One (1) oval shaped, cabochon cut, bezel set turquoise measuring approximately 7.3 mm x 5.4 mm (closed back). Both are low cabochon cuts, medium turquoise blue with some spider webbing.
Rubies: Four (4) bezel and prong set rubies. One (1) cushion cut with an estimated weight of 0.14 ct. One (1) square cut with an estimated weight of 0.16 ct. Two (2) oval cuts with a total an estimated weight of 0.23 ct. All rubies are a deep intense red color. The total ruby weight is 0.53 ct.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
