Modernist sterling silver brooch by Canadian artist Jackie Anderson embellished with a green tourmaline and citrine. Brooch is both signed by artist and and dated 1996.
Jackie Anderson studied at the Alberta College of Art + Design and has been designing Jewellery in Calgary for over 40 years. Her award-winning collections have been exhibited across Canada and internationally. Her whimsical works explore line, color, and materials creating truly unique pieces.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
