Exceptional hand-carved floral and foliate pale pink angel skin coral brooch hailing from the 1940's. Coral is prong set in a 14k yellow gold decorative setting. This piece can be worn as a brooch but can also be used as a pearl shortener - please refer to images for an example.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
