Vintage 18k yellow and rose gold Egyptian cartouche name pendant.
Every pharaoh, king, and queen had their names spelled in hieroglyphics in an oval shaped cartouche. This was done to protect them and their name for eternity.
The oval cartouche with horizontal bad represents divine protection and is closely linked in appearance to the ouroboros serpent biting its own tail.
