Antique (circa 1900) 14k yellow gold bar pin with sapphires and ivy leaves adorned with sparkling Old European cut diamonds. Ivy leaves were a common design motif used in jewelry symbolizing everlasting love, devotion, fidelity, and loyalty.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
