This darling bumble bee brooch is made in 18k rose gold with a lovely bronze lustrous Tahitian pearl and with ruby & diamond accents.

South Sea Pearl: This single bronze Tahitian pearl is single drilled and measures approximately 13.3 mm in diameter with a beautiful high luster, thick nacre and only very very slightly blemished with multi-colored overtones.
Rubies: Two (2) round faceted tube set red rubies measuring approximately 2.0 mm in diameter with a total ruby weight of 0.09 ct.
Diamonds: There are in total eighty eight (88) round brilliant cut diamonds measuring approximately between 1.0 mm - 1.3 mm in diameter with total diamond weight of 0.45 ct. and estimated SI quality and F/G color.

Wings are ornamented in bright shades of red, blues, pink, coral, and purple done in the plique-à-jour (translucent enamel) technique. The articulated moving wings are so finely made that they are able to stand in place on their own. Our hearts fluttered when this special specimen flew into the store!
Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
